Spiral Classifier is also known as the Screw Classifier, or Spiral Mineral Separator is a highly efficient classification designed to separate slides (fines) from close circuit wet classification and sandy-sized (coarse) materials. It is suitable for classification, where splitting of two-product sizes is required. Due to its inherent operational qualities, Convotech Engineering is ideally suited for spiral classifier sizing application, washing application and dewatering sand or water extraction from the remnants of hydro cyclone or lower screen.
Heavy media separators for upgrading purposes, dewatering, desalination, washing and classification in Iron Ore Mining and Coal Benefit. Classification of cyclone underflows in closed circuit grinding mills and gold ore, tin ore, tantalite ore, copper ore, wolframite ore, molybdenum ore, etc. Silica sand washing, dissolving, dewatering and sand and gravel operations.
Screw classifiers are classified as submerged or high-weir based on their construction. A screw classifier operates on a simple principle: it transports and separates items depending on size using a revolving screw. Its major duty is to categorise materials and guarantee effective separation, making it an important component of a variety of industrial processes.
Screw classifiers, which come in a variety of sizes and single or twin screw arrangements, are dewatering equipment used to separate sand and water from the sand and water combination created during the washing process. Screw classifiers are typically 30″ x 6 to 10 metres long, with raking capacities of 80 TPH and 50 TPH.
The capacity of a screw classifier varies based on the type and design. The capacity may be tailored to your specific requirements. Turn to recognized screw classifier plant manufacturers if you need dependable screw classifier equipment. Convotech provides a variety of solutions that are adapted to your demands, ensuring that your categorization requirements are satisfied successfully and efficiently.
Spiral Classifiers are supplied in two main types of High Weir (H), and Submerged Spiral (S). The High Weir spiral component is partially projecting above water line and it is designed for classifying coarse feed application. The Submerged Spiral component is completely submerged bellow the water level, and it is designed for classifying fine sand feeds.
Spiral Classifiers are designed with special totally enclosed submerged bearing at the spiral real shaft end, providing efficient operation with low maintenance.
