Spiral Classifier is also known as the Screw Classifier, or Spiral Mineral Separator is a highly efficient classification designed to separate slides (fines) from close circuit wet classification and sandy-sized (coarse) materials. It is suitable for classification, where splitting of two-product sizes is required. Spiral Classifiers are supplied in two main types of High Weir (H), and Submerged Spiral (S). The High Weir spiral component is partially projecting above water line and it is designed for classifying coarse feed application. The Submerged Spiral component is completely submerged bellow the water level, and it is designed for classifying fine sand feeds.
Spiral Classifiers are designed with special totally enclosed submerged bearing at the spiral real shaft end, providing efficient operation with low maintenance.
